When it happened--Two months ago
What the nice thing was--The trip to Thailand So, today I guess I’ll just talk about the time when I waited for the trip to Thailand with my bestie. Here’s what happened. It had been two years ever since I last saw her. She left for Berlin for her job, cos the company she worked for was based in the city. Even though we could still keep in touch via social media like We-chat or Facebook, something just didn’t work out. I mean, we didn’t seem to be as engaged in that personal, intimate conversation as before. Somehow we felt a bit disconnected from each other. For me, maybe the separation, the fact that we lived poles apart from each other also added to this feeling. So we decided to do something about it. So over a phone call, we discussed the possibility of a trip together. In the phone, we talked about our schedules and the preferences for hotel booking. Also, we worked out the workable plan for our stay in Bangkok. That’s how the date of trip was settled and the countdown began.

How long have you waited?——two months
I remember we actually waited for two months, which, I would say, was a pain in the neck for me.

Why you waited for a long time and how you felt about it. I had the mixed feelings of anticipation and excitement. But as someone who lacked patience and would like everything to be done with as soon as possible, I also had this unsettling feeling inside that something accidental would happen, and thus my trip would be ruined. Fortunately, everything after the booking for flight tickets was smooth sailing for us. When the day of trip arrived, I couldn’t contain my excitement. And the moment I saw my friend, tears welled up in my eyes. I mean, this was the moment I waited for so long, the moment of pure joy and laughter. It was worth all the wait.
