　　Do you like chatting with friends?　　Sure, I’m a people person who enjoys mingling and chatting with people from different walks of life, cos it brings me some fresh ideas about many topics, and sometimes you can derive great pleasure from it, you know, even just chewing the fat.

　　Language bits:

　　mingle with sb.  与某人打交道

　　bring me fresh ideas  给我新颖的看法

　　What do you usually chat about with friends?　　Well, “birds of a feather flock together.” So, if I’m with intimate friends, basically I’ll just talk about anything that pops up into my head without reserve cos I can confide in them. However, if they’re just fair-weather friends or someone I only have a nodding acquaintance of on some social occasions, I’ll talk about something they might be interested in.

　　Do you prefer to chat with a group of friends or with only one friend?

　　Though I’m extroverted in nature, I still enjoy one-to-one chatting cos it’s way more relaxing for me. And I’m more engaged in the conversation and more connected to each other. But that’s another story if I chat with lots of friends. I mean, it really wears me out.

　　Language bits:

　　I’m extroverted in nature.  我本性是一个外向的人。

　　I’m more engaged in the conversation.  我更能聊得来。

　　Do you prefer to communicate face to face or via social media?

　　Face-to-face communication appeals to me more cos it allows me to engage myself better in the conversation with others, while increasing the bond between us. Plus, the facial expressions people wear or the tones they use in communication really gets me fascinated. However, that’s not something social media can offer.

　　Language bits:

　　Do you argue with friends?　That’s something inevitable. As friends, normally, we see eye to eye on many things, but that doesn’t mean we think alike all the time. Instead, friends also have different ideas, likes and dislikes, or ways of life, all of which can lead to arguments.
