　　Part 1 - Environmental Protection

　　上周我们的LV老师为大家解读了如何去讲Part 2话题Describe a law about environmental protection，今天我们就和大家继续看看关于环境保护的话题，因为在本季度（5月-8月）题库中就有下面的话题，亦是5月新加入题库的新题。

　　Environmental protection (NEW)

　　我们从第一问开始：

　　1.Would you like to work in a company related to environmental protection?

　　这是一个典型的问你的意愿的题目，所以，咱们是什么意愿就答什么：

　　(If not sure)

　　【Sample answer】Well, to be honest, I’ve never thought about that. Maybe I’ll. Who knows? Right now, I’m studying computer science and I wish I could find a job related to this. It’s possible that I might work in the IT department of a big environmental protection company. I mean, all I care about is that I can write some awesome programs for something.

　　(If no)

　　【Sample answer】Well, I don’t think so. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m an art student majoring in game design, and my dream job is being a game designer in Tencent Game.

　　(If yes)

　　【Sample answer】Yes. Actually, I’ve work as an intern in the social responsibility department of Tencent, one of the biggest IT company in China as you may know. There I’ve joined some “green” projects like tree planting in the northwest China, sea animal protection in South Sea, and so on, which greatly motivated me to do something for this planet. So, working in a company related to environmental protection is likely to my choice in the future.

　　答题方法如我们之前所讲的——坦诚地说出你的观点和想法，然后解释一下：

　　下面我们来看第二个问题

　　2.How can we protect the environment?

　　这个题说实在的，已经带有Part 3性质了，比较抽象、概括，不过也没有什么（因为Part 3本身也不是像大家想象的那样非常非常难）

　　这个题的一个点在于平时是不是积累了一点点关于环境保护的词，当然，遇到生词你可以“改述”，但如果有足够的词汇储备还是会说得更顺畅。

　　答题重点：不要面面俱到，自己会什么就讲什么。

　　【Sample answer】Well, I suppose there are a number of things we can do, one of which is that schools should give more education on environmental protection, so people can be more aware of that from a young age. So, that’s one thing and another thing is that as individuals, we should do the garbage classification, cutting down the use of plastic like bring our own bottles instead of by bottled water all the time, and saving energy by leaving the temperature at 26 cent degrees and things like that could be helpful, too.

　　接下来，第三个问题

　　3.Do you think you’ve done enough to protect the environment?

　　哈哈，这个题好像有点儿“灵魂拷问”。但是答题方法还是一样——是啥说啥。

　　【Sample answer 】Well, … probably no. All I’ve done for the environment now are always taking the public transportation like bus and subway as much as possible, doing the garbage classification, and stuff like that. I know I can do more than. For example, I should stop ordering the takeout food where a lot of plastic containers are used or volunteering in some environment protection projects. So, your question really made me think of these.

　　【Sample answer 2】Have I done enough to protect the environment? Well, … I’m ashamed to admit that I haven’t. I’ve been practicing some little ways to protect the environment, but I’m not religiously doing them every single day. I think I will be more responsible as the we can see more and more environment problems on the news these days like the wild animals killed by plastic products, global warming, water pollution, and so on, which make me think that we’re starting to pay the price. So, it’s time to do something.

　　最后一题：

　　4.Is there education about environmental protection at school?

　　这题难度不大，其实就是我们所说的giving information的问题，所以你首当其冲要做的就是给事实就好——Yes或No. 根据咱们中国的现状，关于环境的教育还是有的，不管是在我们的生物课上、地理课上其实都有接触到，或者有的学校还会举办一些环保的宣传和活动，比如宣传画、宣传海报，或者那种拿废旧物品改出新东西的手工课等等。

　　【Sample answer】Yeah. In my primary school, we had a curriculum about science and environment, where I learnt different kinds of pollutions and the importance of protecting the environment. And in the biology classes in secondary school, I learnt that we should protect wild animals to keep the biological diversity. These knowledges are very valuable.

　　词汇与句型：

　　I’ve never thought about that. 我从来没有考虑过这个

　　Who knows? 谁知道呢？（一个很自然很地道的表达）

　　awesome 很棒的

　　As I’ve mentioned,…正如我之前提到的

　　social responsibility department 社会责任部门

　　motivate 激励我，推动我

　　I suppose 我觉得 （不用每次都只说I think）

　　I suppose there are a number of things we can do, one of which is that … 这个句型超级好用，根据不同的问题和语境things也可以替换成reasons, differences, …等。I suppose 用来表达我觉得/我认为（讲自己观点的一个discourse maker），one of which is that …是一个很自然的表达，同时也是一个定语从句。如果讲完一点后面再想增加其他的点，那就可以继续说So that’s one thing, and another thing is that ….等等，完美地达到前后连贯、有逻辑、意思清晰的表达，可谓想不拿分都难（请大家再词打开“雅思口语评分标准对照”即知）。
