　　雅思7.5是什么水平？

　　一个雅思总分7.5的考生，其语言能力将进一步取决于其分数构成。

　　The English level of a candidate scoring 7.5 in IELTS test is further determined by the composition of his mark.

　　情况一：高输入、低输出，如下

　　situation 2: high input but low output

　　这类考生有个特点，词汇量较大，大约在13，000左右，但能熟练掌握的不多，而且语法基础薄弱，口头及书面表达能力较弱。对于这类考生而言，除非认真夯实语法， 否则很难再有突破，此外，由于语言运用能力较差，词汇的遗忘速度会非常快，因此，这类考生，分数波动相对较大，且语言能力容易缩水。

Candidates with high input but low output generally have a large vocabulary around 13,000. Nevertheless, the vocabulary of which they have a good control is much smaller, which in conjunction with their poor mastery of English grammar leads to great inability to express their ideas both in writing and speaking forms. Such candidates would have great difficulty scoring higher unless they learn the grammar well. In adittion, their vocabulary tend to shrink very quickly and their score fluctuates wildly becasue they don't do well in putting what they have learnt in practice.

　　情况二：输入、输出均衡发展，如下

　　situation 2: balanced input and output

　　这类考生，语言能力均衡发展，语法基础较好， 词汇量大约在10，000左右，表达能力较强。对于这类考生而言，只要进一步扩充词汇，很容易突破8分。由于语言运用能力强，词汇很容易得到巩固，因此这类考生语言能力相对稳定，不易缩水。

Candidates with a balanced input and output usually have a good command of English grammar and a vocabulary around 10,000 words, thus doing better in expressing themselves. With an increase of their vocabulary, it's gonna be pretty easy to score 8 and even higher. Their linguistic competence tend to remain stable and is unlikely to abate granted that their vocabulary can be easily solidified in daily linguistic activities.
